Ginetta to do battle with the Cobra. The Walkletts designed the G10 to compete wheel to wheel with the Cobra but a change in homologation rules by SSCA put an end to that effort. Figures for production status in the class was changed from 200 to 500 cars which was enough for Ginetta to through in the towel. Production of the G4 was slightly over 200 and the larges run of any given model in Ginetta history would probably not exceed 600, the G15. Rod Leach of "Nostalgia" described the G10 as "... the fastest accelerating road car i have ever driven, including the 7 litre Cobra".
